These terms apply to goods and services supplied by Lightwater Car Audio ("we", "us") of The Workshop Behind, 58 Guildford Road, Lightwater, Surrey, GU18 5SD. By booking work with us you agree to them. They don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Quotes and booking
Quotes are valid for 30 days and are based on the vehicle details you give us. If the vehicle turns out to need additional parts or labour — a different head-unit generation, a previous installation that has to be removed first — we'll tell you before going ahead, and you can decline the extra work.
2. Deposits and payment
We may ask for a deposit on parts ordered specifically for your vehicle; the deposit is refundable if we are unable to carry out the work, and non-refundable if you cancel after the parts have been ordered. The balance is due when the work is complete and before the vehicle is collected. We accept card and bank transfer.
3. Cancellation
Please give us at least 48 hours' notice to move or cancel an appointment. Consumers who book at a distance (by phone, email or through this website) have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, except for goods made or ordered to your specification, and for services that have been completed with your agreement inside that period.
4. Your vehicle
You confirm that you own the vehicle or have the owner's permission for the work. Please remove valuables before leaving the vehicle with us. Vehicles are kept in a locked workshop and are covered by our insurance while in our care, but we can't accept responsibility for pre-existing faults, wear or damage, or for items left inside.
5. Warranty
Our installation work is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of fitting. Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty, which we'll administer on your behalf where the manufacturer allows. Warranties don't cover damage caused by accident, misuse, water ingress, work carried out by others, or modifications to the vehicle after installation.
6. Security products
Immobilisers, alarms and trackers reduce the risk of theft; no product can eliminate it. It's your responsibility to keep PIN sequences, tags and app credentials safe and to maintain any subscription a tracker needs. Insurance discounts are at the discretion of your insurer.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law says can't be limited. Otherwise our liability is limited to the price of the work in question. We're not liable for losses that weren't foreseeable when the work was booked.
8. Complaints
If something isn't right, tell us — in person, by phone or at info@lightwatercaraudio.co.uk — and give us the chance to put it right first. If we can't resolve it between us you can use the Motor Ombudsman's alternative dispute resolution service.
9. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. We may update them from time to time; the version on this website at the time of booking applies. Last updated September 2026.
