Alpine's flagship 7" unit and our first recommendation for a car with a standard stereo slot. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB+, hi-res playback and a tuning section — 13-band EQ, time alignment and crossovers — that lets us set the system up for your car rather than the average one.
It's a 'shallow' chassis, so it fits cars where deeper units won't, and the anti-glare screen is readable in sunlight.

The value Alpine: a 7" unit with wired CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB+ and Bluetooth, sharing the 705D's shallow chassis and much of its sound. If the wireless connection isn't important to you, it saves a useful amount.
Both units accept Alpine's steering-wheel interfaces and reversing cameras, and both can drive an external amplifier when you decide to go further.
